Homogeneous catalysis and ORGANIC Synthesis

Miloserdov research group
Laboratory of organic chemistry
Wageningen University

We develop new methods to make organic molecules more efficiently, sustainably, and with real-world impact.

What we do

Organic molecules are essential to modern life—from medicines and materials to energy and agriculture. Our research focuses on developing new strategies to synthesize these molecules in better, more efficient, and more practical ways.

At the core of our work are two guiding questions:

  • Can we develop better, more efficient, and more practical ways to make organic molecules?
  • Can we create accessible molecules that improve quality of life?

Our approach

  • Homogeneous catalysis
  • Organic synthesis

Our work combines fundamental chemical innovation with application-oriented research, aiming to generate meaningful impact in both science and society.

To answer these questions, we design and study new catalytic systems and synthetic methods, with a focus on:

About the lab

The Miloserdov Lab (“Homogeneous Catalysis and Organic Synthesis”) is based at Wageningen University. We bring together ideas from catalysis and synthesis to develop new chemical transformations and explore their practical applications.
